The Magpie Salute, the Black Crowes spinoff led by guitarist Rich Robinson, kicks off a 2019 U.S. winter tour this Friday, January 11, in Berkeley, California.
The trek, which comes in support of the band’s debut studio album, 2018’s High Water I, is currently mapped out through a February 12 concert in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The group’s also taking part in the star-studded Rock Legends Cruise VII, which sets sail on February 14 from Fort Lauderdale and will travel to Costa Maya, Mexico, before returning to port on February 18.
Released in August of last year, High Water I was co-produced by Robinson and recorded at Dark Horse Studios in Nashville. A follow-up titled High Water II is due out later in 2019.
The Magpie Salute also features two other Black Crowes alums — guitarist Marc Ford and bassist Sven Pipien — as well as lead singer John Hogg, drummer Joe Magistro and keyboardist Matt Slocum.
