A new themed cruise feature a number of pop and rock acts behind some of the most romantic songs of the 1970s will debut next March.
The Rock & Romance Cruise will run from March 11 to March 16, and will include performances by Peter Frampton, America, ex-Three Dog Night singer Chuck Negron, Little River Band and many other well-known artists.
The seagoing music fest will set sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will make stops in Cozumel, Mexico, and Key West, Florida, before returning to port. Greg Brady himself, Barry Williams, will serve as the host of the cruise, which also will feature Christopher Cross, Ambrosia, Orleans, Stephen Bishop, Firefall, Player and The Orchestra, a group that includes ex-members of ELO.
“This is a cruise that will take us back to one of the most special and feel good times in our lives — the seventies,” says the cruise’s executive director, Alan Rubens. “And these are the unforgettable performers and musicians who created the music that showed how rock could help us understand what love and romance was all about.”
The Rock & Romance Cruise also will offer attendees a variety of special events, including Q&A sessions, panel discussions, wine tastings and cooking demonstrations. Other activities include karaoke, trivia contests, dancing under the stars and pool parties.
