Darren Michaels/CBSRed Hot Chili Peppers were the latest musicians to join James Corden for a lively version of “Carpool Karaoke” Monday night.

Singer Anthony Kiedis sat up front while drummer Chad Smith, bassist Flea and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer sat in the back as an excited Corden drove them around Los Angeles.

The group sang songs with Corden, including “Under The Bridge,” “Californiacation” and “Give It Away,” and treated Corden and the audience to the new song, “Dark Necessities,” from new album The Getaway, out June 17th.

The band also shared their rendition of “Food Glorious Food” from the musical Oliver!

The group also shared stories. Kiedis told a story about having Cher as a babysitter when he was 12 years old, while Flea shared a story about a nonsense song, “Hee Mee Lee Mee” that he and Kiedes wrote as teens.  “We were 15 years old, smoking large quantities of marijuana, hiking through the Sierra Nevada mountain range and we wrote “Hee Mee Lee Mee,” he revealed.

Later, Kiedis wrestled with Corden on a stranger’s front lawn before returning to the car for more singing.
