Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick are among several music acts that will perform at Live Nation’s second annual National Concert Day Show, which will be held Tuesday, May 3, at Irving Plaza in New York City.
The National Concert Day event serves to promote the summer concert season and celebrates the artists who will be hitting the road this year.
The show also will feature performances by country singer Dierks Bentley, rap star Wiz Khalifa and other as-yet-unannounced artists. In addition, a variety of musicians will be attending the event, including Bad Company‘s Simon Kirke. Hoda Kotb of NBC’s Today show will host the event, which will be streamed live at LiveNation.com/ConcertDay16.
All of the aforemenioned artists attending the National Concert Day Show will be launching their own tours this summer. For example, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick will be teaming up with Heart for the Rock Hall Three for All trek, kicking off July 14 in Clarkston, Michigan.
In conjunction with the launch of the summer concert season, Live Nation also will be offering special $20 tickets to hundreds of shows. The tickets will be available from May 13 through May 20. More details will be announced soon at LiveNation.com and Live Nation’s social media pages. Also, as part of a partnership with Pringles, Live Nation is giving concertgoers the chance to buy four tickets for the price of three by visiting LiveNation.com/Pringles.
