Following the release Friday of Nancy Wilson's debut solo studio album, You and Me, comes word that the Heart guitarist/singer will be playing a special hometown concert with the Seattle Symphony at Seattle's Benaroya Hall on July 9.

The show will feature Wilson performing newly arranged versions of select Heart classics, as well as songs from her new album. The event will be broadcast live as part of the symphony's new cross-genre collaboration series, The Essential Series, via the Seattle Symphony Live streaming platform.

Pay-per-view tickets for the concert go on sale on today, May 10, at SeattleSymphony.org and cost $30. That'll allow you to watch the show on-demand for one week after it initially airs on July 9 at 8 p.m. PT. In addition, a limited number of VIP in-person tickets will be made available for purchase starting May 19, with the proceeds benefiting the Seattle Symphony. For more information, email Samantha DeLuna at Samantha.DeLuna@seattlesymphony.org.

As previously reported, You and Me is a 12-track collection featuring eight original songs and four covers that Nancy recorded during the COVID-19 lockdown. The album came together remotely with help from members of her backing band, which includes some current Heart members, and from a few guest artists.

"I created this new album with the idea of bringing something aspirational for all of us having been through such a tough year," Nancy says of the project. "I particularly loved being reunited with my good old reliable friends like favorite guitars and classic amps, mics and notebooks. Not to mention my favorite Heart players from Seattle. Plus having the chance to sing all the songs was especially sweet for me."
