Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder and Foo Fighters are performing during Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World, a music special organized by Global Citizen.
The program, which consists of pre-taped performances from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, hopes to "inspire vaccine confidence worldwide and help get the COVID-19 vaccines to everyone, everywhere."
"During the special, Global Citizen, will call on philanthropists and corporations to donate enough 'dollars-for-doses' to vaccinate more than 27 million heroic health workers, that are serving on the global frontlines, in the world's poorest countries everyday," a press release reads.
The announcement continues, "The special will also encourage global development advocates and changemakers to call on world leaders to prioritize the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines for everyone, everywhere."
Vax Live will air May 8 on networks including ABC, CBS and Fox, and will also stream online via the Global Citizen YouTube channel.
Other performers include Jennifer Lopez, H.E.R. and J Balvin. Selena Gomez will host.
