Sean tSabhasaigh/WireImageChris Cornell's daughter Toni shared a tribute to her father Thursday to mark the 30th anniversary of the Temple of the Dog single "Hunger Strike."

"It's not only one of the most iconic songs of all time but one of my personal favorites," Toni wrote in an Instagram post.

"I love you daddy and I'm so proud of what you created, who you are and everything you believed in," she added. "This song represents all of that to me."

The post also includes a video of Toni's cover of "Hunger Strike," which she previously performed last spring as part of a COVID-19 relief fundraiser.

In addition to Toni's post, Chris' widow Vicky Cornell also shared a tribute in honor of the "Hunger Strike" anniversary.

"Chris' contribution to music history is forever," Vicky tweeted. "As is his love, inclusion, guidance and support — all of which make him an incredible person, artist and friend. His legacy will live on for eternity."

Vicky also shared a video of Chris joining Pearl Jam for a live cover of "Hunger Strike."

"Hunger Strike" appears on Temple of the Dog's 1991 self-titled debut, the group's lone album. Along with Cornell, the band featured his Soundgarden band mate Matt Cameron, as well as future Pearl Jam members Mike McCready, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. Eddie Vedder, of course, memorably provided vocals on "Hunger Strike," as well.

The original release of Temple of the Dog went under the radar, but attracted new attention as the grunge scene exploded in the '90s. With the band's members busy with their respective projects, Temple of the Dog became inactive, though they reunited for a brief tour in 2016.

In addition to the "Hunger Strike" anniversary, Saturday marks the two-year anniversary of the Chris Cornell memorial concert.
