Pete Cronin/RedfernsIf you wanted to book Metallica in 1982, here's the number to call.

Ron McGovney, the original bassist for the future metal legends, recently unearthed Metallica's first-ever business card. The card features the band's now-famous logo, with the phrase "Power Metal" underneath it. It also includes a phone number to call, which McGovney says originally connected to his bedroom in 1979.

"I moved to our rental house two doors down in 1981 and took the number with me," McGovney tweeted alongside a photo of the card. "That house was where Metallica started. I lived in a condo 1983-1987 and had that same number."

That number outlived McGovney's time in Metallica — he left the group in 1982 when Cliff Burton joined. Burton, of course, played on Metallica's first three albums before his tragic death in 1986. Burton was replaced by Jason Newsted, who was then replaced by current 'Tallica bassist, Robert Trujillo.
