Bowie Film “Labyrinth” To Be Re-Released This Fall

Sony Pictures Home EntertainmentThe David Bowie film Labyrinth will be re-released this fall in honor of its 30th anniversary.

Labyrinth will be shown in select movie theaters throughout the U.S. on September 11th and 14th. Following this limited edition theatrical re-release, the newly restored film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray, with all sorts of bonus content, on September 20th. Labyrinth — which was originally released in 1986 — tells the story of a teenage girl who is given 13 hours to rescue her baby brother. Jennifer Connelly plays the girl and Bowie stars as Jareth the Goblin King. The film was written by Terry Jones of Monty Python fame and directed by the late Jim Henson.
