Eagle VisionLike the official Yes lineup, the Yes spinoff act Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman is celebrating the band’s 50th anniversary this year by mounting an expansive tour.
The latter group will also commemorate the milestone by issuing its first concert recording, 50th Anniversary: Live at the Apollo, in multiple formats on September 7.
50th Anniversary: Live at the Apollo will be available on CD and Blu-ray, as well as a two-CD and three-LP vinyl set. The concert documented in the releases took place in March 2017 at the O2 Apollo Manchester.
The show featured a set that spanned most of Yes’ career, and included renditions of such memorable songs as “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “And You & I,” “Heart of the Sunrise,” “Long Distance Runaround,” “Owner of a Lonely Heart” and “Roundabout.”
Yes Featuring Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman also performed the Chris Squire-penned “The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)” at the show as a tribute to the late Yes bassist.
Yes Featuring Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman will be launching a North American leg of their tour marking Yes’ 50th anniversary with an August 28 show at the famed Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, California.
