Courtesy of Shure IncorporatedThe recently announced limited-edition Who-themed microphones created to celebrate of the 50th anniversary of Shure’s popular SM58 mics can be purchased now at eBay.
A total of 300 of the microphones were produced, 10 of which have been signed by The Who’s Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend and are going up for bid today.
The non-signed mics are being sold at the fixed price of $300, while bidding on the autographed ones will be open until April 27. Proceeds from the sale of the mics benefit the Teen Cancer America charity, which Daltrey and Townshend co-founded in 2012.
The Who-themed microphones boast an original design by Richard Evans that incorporates the band’s classic bullseye logo. Evans has worked on the band’s album covers and artwork for decades.

In other news, The Who has added a new U.S. show to the end of its previously announced summer tour itinerary. The concert is scheduled for August 16 at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys in Stateline, Nevada.
It follows the group’s six-date Las Vegas engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which runs from July 29 to August 11. The group also has four other U.S. shows lined up in July. Check out the band’s full scheduled at TheWho.com.
