ABC/Randy HolmesDuring their show in London earlier this week, Metallica finally debuted the live version of their song “Spit Out the Bone,” a fan-favorite from the band’s new album Hardwired…to Self-Destruct. You can watch official footage of the performance now on YouTube.
Following the intense performance, James Hetfield declared, in his best English accent, “Special for you, London!”
Metallica is currently touring Europe in support of Hardwired. The band will return to the U.S. next month for a benefit concert in support of those affected by the Northern California wildfires, the deadliest in recorded state history. The show takes place on November 9 at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.
