The U.S. portion of the trek is split into two parts that sandwich a series of Japanese dates and the group’s first-ever performance in South Korea — a November 5 show in Seoul.

All Starr Band member Todd Rundgren tells ABC Radio about the Seoul concert, “I’ve never been there myself, so it’ll be interesting…I think many of the band members have never been to Korea before. There’s not a market for us there.”

Rundgren says that most of the U.S. gigs will be in cities that the All Starr Band has visited before, although there “are definitely some new ones that’ll be fun to get to.”

The veteran singer/songwriter/guitarist also reports that the band’s lineup remains the same as it has for the last few years, and that the shows will feature pretty much the same set as the group’s been playing recently. Besides Ringo and Todd, the All Starr Band includes founding Santana singer/keyboardist Gregg Rolie, Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, Mr. Mister singer/bassist Richard Page, drummer Gregg Bissonette and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ham.

Meanwhile, Ringo has been working on a follow-up to his 2015 album Postcards from Paradise, which featured a song that the All Starr Band co-wrote called “Island in the Sun” that Rundgren says came together at a soundcheck. While the new album doesn’t yet feature a collaborative tune like “Island in the Sun,” Todd says “there’s nothing to say that something like that couldn’t happen again, especially if Ringo wants it to happen.”
