Island RecordsBon Jovi has given fans a first taste of its upcoming album, This House Is Not for Sale, today by releasing the title track as its latest single and also premiering a video for the tune. The song is a rocking, mid-tempo anthem that seems to be about the importance of staying true to your roots.

In the tune’s chorus, frontman Jon Bon Jovi sings, “I set each stone and I hammered each nail/ This house is not for sale/ The memories live and the dream don’t fail/ This house is not for sale/ Coming home, I’m coming home.”

The video begins with singer Jon driving a car through a blue-collar suburban neighborhood in what appears to be his hometown, at one point stopping at a modest house with a “For Sale” sign on its lawn. Later, Jon and his band mates are shown walking through a graveyard to an old mansion surrounded by giant tree roots, and they then are seen performing the song in the main room of the home. The clip, which can be viewed at Bon Jovi’s official website and VEVO YouTube channel, was directed by Indian-born photographer and independent filmmaker Indrani.

The “This House Is Not for Sale” single is available for purchase now as a download via all major digital outlets. The album will be released on October 21. It was co-produced by John Shanks, who has worked on every Bon Jovi album since 2005’s Have a Nice Day.
