British Invasion legends The Zombies will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame March 29 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, but first the band and its frontman, Colin Blunstone, both will mount brief U.S. tours.
Blunstone’s trek will exclusively visit venues in the Northeast, and will run from a January 31 concert in Pawling, New York, through a February 8 show in New York City. Other cities Colin will play include Philadelphia; Portland, Maine; Boston; and Washington, D.C.
The Zombies’ outing, which will stick to the Southern U.S., is scheduled from a February 16 performance in Bonita Springs, Florida, through a March 2 show in Austin, Texas.
Between the two tours, Blunstone and The Zombies will take part in the inaugural On the Blue Cruise headlined by Moody Blues singer/guitarist Justin Hayward. The nautical music extravaganza embarks from Miami on February 10 and will in the Bahamas and on the private isle of Labadee before returning to port on February 15.
The cruise’s lineup also features Dave Mason, Rick Derringer, Procol Harum, ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, Alan Parsons, Vanilla Fudge, Al Stewart, Poco, Stephen Bishop, Ambrosia singer David Pack, Romantics frontman Wally Palmar and former Kansas vocalist John Elefante.
Before finally being chosen for induction, The Zombies had been eligible for the honor for 30 years.
