As previously reported, the self-penned memoir features Daltrey sharing his life story, from his birth during World War II through his years as an unruly student and his brief stint as a sheet-metal worker before founding what became one of the world’s most famous rock bands. Of course, Roger also candidly recalls his many adventures as The Who’s frontman and the creation of the band’s classic recordings.

As Daltrey reveals in a recent interview with The Mirror, the book also such revelations as the rocker discovered after his 50th birthday that during the ’60s he’d fathered three children he hadn’t known about.

“It was great — it’s all worked out. They stay in touch and they’re close,” says Roger, who’s been married to his wife Heather since 1971.
