The Smashing Pumpkins have announced the 1979 House Party contest. Should you win, you and a friend will get flown out to Los Angeles to attend an intimate Pumpkins show at a “secret residential location” on June 28.
The whole thing is apparently inspired by the band’s classic “1979” video. No word on who’s bringing the giant tires.

The Smashing Pumpkins will kick off their Shiny and Oh So Bright tour, featuring the reunited Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, on July 12 in Glendale, Arizona.
