Temple of the Dog to Reunite for First-Ever Tour

1032

ABC/Randy HolmesGrunge supergroup Temple of the Dog is reuniting for their first-ever tour. The five-date trek kicks off November 4 in Philadelphia and will hit New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles before concluding November 20 in — where else? — Seattle. Visit TempleoftheDog.com for all ticket info.

Made up of Chris Cornell and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden, plus Pearl Jam‘s Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready, Temple of the Dog released their first and only album in 1991. All five members will take part in the reunion tour, although it looks like Eddie Vedder, who famously duets with Cornell on the hit single “Hunger Strike,” isn’t officially involved.

“We wanted to do the one thing we never got to do,” says Cornell of the reunion. “Play shows and see what it feels like to be the band that we walked away from 25 years ago.”

Additionally, the Temple of the Dog album will be reissued in honor of its 25th anniversary. The collection, which will be available on vinyl, CD and digitally, will be released September 30.

Here are Temple of the Dog’s reunion tour dates:

11/4 — Philadelphia, PA, Tower Theater
11/7 — New York, NY, Madison Square Garden
11/11 — San Francisco, CA, Bill Graham Civic Center
11/14 — Los Angeles, CA, The Forum
11/20 — Seattle, WA, Paramount Theater
