The film is in production now and is being made with the full cooperation of the 80-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who was a member of The Stones from 1962 to 1993.

The Quiet One will examine the highlights and low points of Wyman’s life and career with help from previously unseen film footage and photos shot by the rocker himself, as well as memorabilia he collected over the years. Bill also famously kept a daily diary during his time with The Rolling Stones and beyond that likely is serving as source material for the doc.

“My life has been an extraordinary adventure,” Wyman says in a statement. “The time feels right to delve into the archive and tell my story before I croak.”

The movie is being directed by Oliver Murray, and is his first feature-length project.

Jonathan Sehring and Lisa Schwartz, co-presidents of IFC Films/Sundance Selects, say in a statement, “Bill Wyman is legendary not only because of the fact that he was a founding member of the Rolling Stones but also because he had unfettered access to the extraordinary world of rock ‘n’ roll over several decades.”

The statement adds that the two are “thrilled” to “let the world see this amazing behind-the-scenes imagery of the rock ‘n’ roll era.”
