Sting and recent collaborator Shaggy to perform at annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit

Credit: Salvador OchoaSting and reggae star Shaggy, who released the collaborative album 44/876 in April, will perform at the annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit to raise money for New York City’s iconic Apollo Theater.

According to Page Six, the 2018 edition of the event, which also will feature performances by Pharrell Williams and The Roots, will be held August at the Long Island estate of philanthropist Ronald Perelman.

Jon Bon Jovi and actor/singer Jamie Foxx, who are regulars at the star-studded soiree, are expected to attend this year’s bash as well.

Last year, Patty Smyth, Pharrell, Foxx, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, The Roots, and Mavis Staples performed at the Hamptons fundraiser, according to The New York TimesJennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez and Chris Rock were among the guests enjoying the show.

Tables cost up to $250,000, with funds going to the Apollo and its educational programs.
