Report: Second season of Ozzy and Jack Osbourne’s reality series “World Detour” to air on A&E

1028

ABC/Randy HolmesOzzy and Jack’s World Detour, the reality series starring Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack that premiered last year on the History channel, will return for a second season, but it will air on a different channel, Deadline reports. The show will move to History’s sister network A&E for a new 10-episode installment.

Among the historic and interesting sites and locations Ozzy and Jack visited during the show’s first season were Colonial Williamsburg; Jamestown; The Alamo; Memphis, TN; Roswell, NM and Cuba. Speaking with ABC Radio several months back, Jack Osbourne, who’s one of the series’ executive producers, revealed his plans for how the show’s second season would differ from the first.

“I think the next season we’re gonna do one continual road trip,” he revealed. “We’re actually gonna go…eight to 10 weeks, like, in a van and we’re just gonna go.”

He added, “We’re talking [about] kind of working our way across the country, then up to Alaska. So, we’re gonna get a few Southern episodes and we’re really gonna kind of theme it out to be very Americana.”

Jack also said he was pleasantly surprised by how well-received the show was.

“We got really good numbers and…we got really good reviews, so it’s that thing where, it came out better than I thought it would,” Ozzy’s son admitted.

“I kind of thought it would turn into, like, a little bit of a s*** show, but [I think] we kind of figured out our groove and [I think] it’s just funny enough and just factual enough to where it kind of works.”

Jack also noted that his favorite thing about his experience making the program was having “people coming up to me [and saying,] ‘I’m learning so much.'”
