Steve Zak Photography/FilmMagic; Steve Jennings/WireImageA pair of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Joan Jett and ex-Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar, will appear as advisers this fall on the new season of The Voice, which also will feature Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on the panel of judges.

Us Weekly reports that Jett was chosen by Cyrus to advise her team. That’s no surprise, since Miley inducted Joan into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, and considers her one of her biggest inspirations and influences.

More surprising, perhaps, pop-rocker Levine has picked the hard-rocking Hagar as his team’s adviser. Why? A source tells Us Weekly that the Maroon 5 singer is “a big fan of classic rock.” Not only that, but Hagar and Levine have previously hung out together in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Adam with Sammy at the Red Rocker’s local bar.

Us Weekly reports that the new season of The Voice‘s other advisers will be legendary singer/actress Bette Midler and young pop singer/songwriter Charlie Puth, who will work alongside Shelton and Keys, respectively.

A special preview episode of The Voice will air on NBC after the closing ceremonies of the Olympics on August 21. The real season 11 premiere happens Monday, September 19.
