Sources tell TMZ the Soundgarden frontman and his record label, A&M Records, recently settled a long, bitter lawsuit over the master tapes to the legendary 1991 Temple of the Dog recording session, featuring Eddie Vedder and future Soundgarden and Pearl Jam members.
Chris and A&M took possession of the physical tapes on Tuesday, ending the battle with the album’s producer, Rick Parashar.
“Temple of the Dog masters returned today. History made whole 25 years later!” Cornell, 51, posted on Twitter, along with a picture of the master tapes.

Parashar had reportedly kept the masters, which have historic significance for being the band’s one and only self-titled record. When Parashar died, his family continued to fight A&M for ownership.
