The veteran glam-metal rocker also has launched a PledgeMusic crowd-funding campaign to promote the record, offering lots of incentives to fans who contribute to the project.

In a video message, Snider explains, “I was at the end of my musical career, saying goodbye with my band Twisted Sister after 40 years, and now I find myself on a whole new adventure, making new music, contemporary rock music, and it’s a whole new world for me…One door closed, another one opened, and I’m here asking you to come on this journey with me.”

We Are the Ones finds Snider delving into a variety of rock genres. Track include a cover of Nine Inch Nails‘ “Head Like a Hole,” a soaring anthem called “Superhero,” a tune titled “So What” that features a string section, and an acoustic rendition of Twisted Sister’s classic “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

Donate money to Dee’s PledgeMusic drive and you’ll immediately receive a download of the unplugged “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” and also gain access to exclusive online content like artist updates and behind-the-scenes making-of videos. Incentives include various pieces of Snider merchandise; signed instruments, posters, lyric sheets and photos; collectible Snider Lego figures; the chance to attend a private party featuring performance by Dee; and much more.

Snider will be performing solo at the 2016 Riot Fest September 18 in Chicago, while Twisted Sister is slated to play its final show ever on October 1 at the Rock Carnival festival in Lakewood, New Jersey.
