PRNewsFoto/Legacy RecordingsAn expansive 27-disc box set featuring a treasure trove of rare and previously unreleased early Pink Floyd audio and video will hit stores November 11. The Early Years — 1965-1972 contains 130 tracks and more than 15 hours of video footage, including television performances, live tracks, BBC sessions, outtakes, demos, interviews and more, separated into seven individual packages focusing on a specific year or multi-year period.

The package includes more than 20 previously unreleased songs, including newly mixed versions of the 1967 tunes “Vegetable Man” and “In the Beechwoods,” and seven hours of live audio performances. The collection also includes seven hours of rare concert footage, a series of five replica seven-inch vinyl singles, a variety of memorabilia, rare and unseen photos, and a number of feature films to which Pink Floyd provided soundtrack music.

The seven packages included in The Early Years box set are CAMBRIDGE ST/ATION, which covers the years 1965 to 1967, when Syd Barrett led the band; GERMIN/ATION, which focuses on 1968; DRAMATIS/ATION, which looks at 1969; DEVI/ATION, which features music and footage from 1970; REVERBER/ATION, which covers 1971; OBFUSC/ATION, which focuses on 1972; and CONTINU/ATION, which boasts bonus material from various years. Each package features at least one or more CD and at least one DVD or Blu-ray disc.

The first six packages also will be released individually in early 2017, while CONTINU/ATION is exclusive to the box set. There’s a full track list at PinkFloyd.com, and a trailer for the collection on Pink Floyd’s official YouTube channel.

In addition, a two-CD companion to the box set titled The Early Years — CRE/ATION will be released November 11.
