Eddie Vedder and company were joined by Red Hot Chili PeppersChad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer and Kings of Leon‘s Nathan Followill for a cover of Neil Young‘s “Rockin’ in the Free World.”

For the performance, Smith manned the kit, so Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron hopped on guitar. Klinghoffer also played guitar, while Followill rocked out on the tambourine — “He’s overqualified, I know,” said Vedder. You can watch fan-filmed footage of the all-star collaboration now on YouTube.

Red Hot Chili Peppers also played the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival last weekend. Neil Young will play the festival’s second weekend on May 1.
