Pearl Jam releasing live 1994 Boston show on vinyl to celebrate upcoming Fenway dates

ABC/Craig SjodinPearl Jam will play two shows at Boston’s Fenway Park in September, and to celebrate, the band is releasing a live vinyl album recorded at their 1994 show at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre.

Live at the Orpheum Theatre — April 12, 1994, which was recorded a week after Kurt Cobain‘s death, will be released August 31 exclusively through Boston’s Newbury Comics. The limited-edition record will be pressed to 180-gram black vinyl, with the exception of 100 random customers, who will receive the disc on red and blue vinyl, the colors of the Boston Red Sox.

Pearl Jam’s Fenway shows take place September 2 and 4, and are the final dates on the band’s upcoming U.S. stadium tour, which begins Wednesday night in Seattle.
