Pearl Jam covers country singer Brandi Carlile for benefit album

Legacy RecordingsPearl Jam contributes to an upcoming benefit album put together by country singer Brandi Carlile. The album features different artists covering songs from Carlile’s 2007 effort The Story, and Pearl Jam puts its spin on a track called “Again Today.”

All proceeds from the album, titled Cover Stories: Brandi Carlile Celebrates 10 Years of The Story, will be donated to War Child UK, a charity organization that supports children affected by and living in areas of conflict and war.

Other artists contributing to Cover Stories include pop star Adele, country legend Dolly Parton, veteran country-folk songwriter Kris Kristofferson, My Morning Jacket‘s Jim James and The Avett Brothers. Additionally, former president Barack Obama penned a foreword for the album.

Cover Stories: Brandi Carlile Celebrates 10 Years of The Story will be released May 5. Here is the track list:
