Mary McCartney/MPL CommunicationsPaul McCartney had a very special backstage visitor prior to his show Wednesday night at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland — Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

According to the Clinton campaign, the former first lady, senator and secretary of state met privately with the Beatles legend and his wife for about 30 minutes.  They chatted about a variety of topics, including the presidential race, their families, and the Olympics, with Hillary congratulating Sir Paul on how well the rocker’s homeland, the United Kingdom, was doing at the games.

McCartney posted a photo of him with Clinton on his Twitter feed, along with the caption, “She’s with me.”

Hillary’s visit with Paul came during a day of campaigning in Cleveland that also included attending a rally at a local high school.

Interestingly, in a recent edition of the Us Weekly feature “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me,” Hillary revealed, “I am, and always will be, a Beatles fan.”

McCartney plays the Quicken Loans Arena again tonight.
