Image courtesy GoldenvoiceThe rumors are true: Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Who, Roger Waters and Neil Young will unite for a three-day concert event in the deserts of Indio, California. The “once-in- a-lifetime” festival, officially dubbed the Desert Trip — we won’t blame you if you call it “Oldchella” — will be held October 7-9.

Dylan and The Stones will play October 7, McCartney and Young will play October 8, and The Who and Waters will close out the festival on October 9. Tickets will go on sale Monday, May 9 at 10 a.m PT via DesertTrip.com.

Desert Trip was organized by Goldenvoice, the same company that produces Coachella. The festival will be also be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, the same venue where Coachella takes place. And yes, due to the company behind it and the nature of the lineup, folks are already referring to the event as Oldchella.
