In addition to charter members Roger Earl, Craig MacGregor, Charlie Huhn and Bryan Bassett, Foghat is working on this album with two Buddy Guy alumni: Scott Holt, who is a renowned singer-guitarist in his own right, and Tom Hambridge, a Grammy-winning writer and producer.

Drummer Earl says, “I first met Tom… at the Memphis Blues Awards. Tom said that he was a fan, and would love to produce a Foghat record [someday]. Puttin’ that in the back of my mind, this was the perfect opportunity… Working with him was inspirational.”

Under the Influence contains a dozen songs including the title track, “Hot Mama,” “Upside of Lonely” and a remake of their signature song “Slow Ride.”
