Neil Young to Perform at New Outlaw Music Festival with Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow in September

Credit: Julie GardnerNeil Young and his pal and fellow Farm Aid founder Willie Nelson will headline the inaugural Outlaw Music Festival, which will take place September 18 — one day after Farm Aid 2016 — at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Young will be performing with his current backing group, Promise of the Real, which is led by Willie’s son Lukas Nelson. The musical extravaganza’s lineup also features Sheryl Crow, ex-Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson‘s band Chris Robinson Brotherhood and country acts Lee Ann Womack and Brothers Osborne. Additional performers will be announced soon.

Tickets for the Outlaw Music Festival go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 29, at 10 a.m. ET at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets and the Montage Mountain box office and by calling 800-745-3000. Citi card members and artist fan-club members can purchase pre-sale tickets now through Thursday, July 28, at 10 p.m.

In addition to the various performances, the festival will feature local cuisine and beer, as well as offering  attendees the chance to buy crafts from local artisans.

As previously reported, Farm Aid 2016 will be held at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, and will feature performances by Young, Nelson, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Promise of the Real, Alabama Shakes and more.
