Credit: Danny ClinchAfter playing a series of recent reunion shows with Crazy Horse in California, Neil Young has now announced a run of six new U.S. solo concerts that will be held in four of his “favorite cities” during the early summer.

The shows will take place on June 28 in St. Louis, June 30 and July 1 in Chicago, July 3 in Detroit and July 11 and 12 in Boston. Tickets currently are available for a limited time exclusively via NeilYoungArchives.com.

The folk-rock legend announced details about the shows in a message posted in the NYA-Times Contrarian news section of NeilYoungArchives.com. He also shared some recollections of his experiences in St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit and Boston.

Young’s 2018 schedule also includes three previously announced festival appearances, on June 23 in Pasadena, California; July 6 in Quebec City, Canada; and September 23 in Saratoga Springs, New York.

In other news, Young has announced that his massive NeilYoungArchves.com website, which he launched on December 1, 2017, as a temporarily free service, will transition to a paid service as of June 1. As Neil explains in a post of his official Facebook page, “there will be memberships available at $1.99 a month, or $19.99 per year.” He adds, “Parts of NYA will always be free.”

As previously reported, NeilYoungArchives.com is a comprehensive look at Young’s entire catalog of recorded music, as well as his films, books, videos and more. The site features high-quality streaming-audio versions of his tunes, spanning from 1963 recordings by his old band The Squires all the way to his latest release.
