Metallica planning “Master of Puppets” deluxe reissue

1101

ABC/Randy HolmesLast year, Metallica released deluxe reissues of their first two albums: 1983’s Kill ‘Em All and 1984’s Ride the Lightning. The next LP in the band’s discography is, of course, 1986’s Master of Puppets, and drummer Lars Ulrich says it will receive the same treatment.

Speaking with French-Canadian website Voir, Ulrich says Metallica hopes to release the Master of Puppets reissue by the end of 2017. He adds that the band has been very focused on their new album Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, but the Master of Puppets reissue will be their “next” project.

The Kill ‘Em All and Ride the Lightning reissues featured multiple CDs, LPs and DVDs featuring demos, rough mixes, live tracks and band interviews, plus memorabilia like hard cover books and posters.

Metallica’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct tour continues tonight in Seattle.
