Lynyrd Skynyrd announces 2019 US farewell tour dates; support acts include Bad Company, Hank Williams Jr.

Credit: Doltyn SneddenLynyrd Skynyrd will start the 2019 portion of its Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour with a previously announced Canadian leg that kicks off March 2 show in Ottawa, Ontario.  Now, the Southern rock legends have also lined up about 20 new U.S. shows spanning from May through September.

The newly added series of concerts gets underway May 10 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and is mapped out through a September 28 show in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Bad Company and country artists Hank Williams Jr. and Cody Jinks will serve as support acts at select shows. Tickets for the new U.S. shows go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 8 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.

Citi card members will be able to buy pre-sale tickets starting Tuesday, February 5, at 10 a.m. local time via the company’s Private Pass program. Visit CitiPrivatePass.com for more details.

The new dates join a handful of previously announced 2019 North American appearances by Skynyrd, including performances on April 27 at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California; May 11 at the KAABOO Texas Festival in San Antonio; July 12 at the Roxodus Music Festival in Edenvale, Canada and July 20 at Moondance Jam in Walker, Minnesota.

As previously reported, founding Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive member Randy Bachman will open all eight of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s forthcoming Canadian dates.
