Lou Gramm featured on upcoming Alan Parsons album, “The Secret,” due out in April

Original Foreigner frontman Lou Gramm lends his vocal talents to as song on The Secret, the upcoming album by veteran songwriter, musician and studio engineer Alan Parsons, which will be released in various formats and configurations on April 26.

Gramm appears on a soaring, orchestrated ballad titled “Sometimes,” while other guest artists on the album include ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, Eric Clapton touring bassist Nathan East, and pop singer/songwriter Jason Mraz.

The Secret marks Parsons’ first studio album since the electronica-influenced 2004 record, A Valid Path. The new collection was inspired by Alan’s passion for performing magic, a longtime hobby of his.

Parsons is probably best known for “Eye in the Sky,” a #3 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982 for his old group the Alan Parsons Project. He’s also lauded for his work as an engineer on such classic albums as The BeatlesAbbey Road, Pink Floyd‘s The Dark Side of the Moon and Al Stewart‘s Year of the Cat.

The Secret, which you can pre-order now, will be available on CD, on black and colored vinyl, as a CD/DVD set and as a “Super Luxury” box set. The box set includes the CD/DVD set, the vinyl LP, a digital version of Parsons’ 2013 two-disc concert album LiveSpan, a t-shirt, a poster, and a numbered lithograph.
