Atlantic/Swan SongThe Wall Street Journal‘s website is hosting an exclusive stream of a rare 1969 Led Zeppelin song called “Sunshine Woman” that will be featured on the upcoming compilation The Complete BBC Sessions, which will be released on September 16. The track is one of eight previously unreleased tunes included on the record, which is an expanded version of the band’s 1997 BBC Sessions collection.

“Sunshine Woman” was recorded in London on March 16, 1969, and aired the following month on the BBC show World Service. The original BBC tape on which the track appeared was lost, but a private recording that emerged in the late 1990s serves as the source for the version featured on The Complete BBC Sessions.

The song, which has never appeared on any Led Zeppelin studio album, features wailing vocals and some bluesy harmonica from Robert Plant, along with pounding piano and a fiery Jimmy Page guitar solo.

The Complete BBC Sessions will be available in a variety of configurations, including a three-CD set, a five-LP package, a digital download and a super deluxe edition featuring both the three-CD and five-LP collections.
