The Linkin Park vault includes at least one unreleased song featuring vocals from the late Chester Bennington.

In a recent livestream, captured by the fan site Linkin Park Live, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda revealed that the group recorded and mixed a track called “Friendly Fire” during the sessions for their last album, 2017’s One More Light.

When someone watching the stream commented that Shinoda should “drop” the track, he responded sarcastically, “Yeah, OK. We’re gonna put a brand new…Linkin Park song with Chester’s voice on it out. I don’t think so.”

“You are literally gonna have to wait years to hear that song,” Shinoda added.

Meanwhile, you can hear Bennington’s voice on the upcoming Grey Daze album Amends, due out this Friday. The record includes newly recorded instrumentals from Bennington’s pre-Linkin Park band accompanying his original vocal takes.
