Lester Cohen/WireImageOn Saturday, Joni Mitchell made her first public appearance since suffering a debilitating brain aneurysm in March of 2015. According to the 72-year-old singer/songwriter’s official website, Mitchell attended a concert Saturday night by jazz great Chick Corea at Catalina Bar and Grill in Los Angeles.

A photo taken that evening of Mitchell with Corea, his wife and legendary jazz keyboardist Herbie Hancock was posted on Chick’s official Facebook page. The pic shows a smiling Joni holding Hancock’s hand, as Corea puts his arms around the two other musicians.

Mitchell was hospitalized in March 2015 after suffering an aneurysm and being discovered unconscious at her L.A. home. In June of last year, Joni’s friend and conservator Leslie Morris reported that she was speaking and undergoing daily therapy and was expected to make a full recovery.
