Credit: Andrew MacphersonAfter recently wrapping up the One Hell of a Night joint tour with Bad Company, Joe Walsh is set to head out on his own summer headlining trek. The “Joe Walsh Toor,” as the Eagles guitarist has christened the outing, gets underway tonight in Cincinnati and is plotted out through a September 17 show in Aspen, Colorado.

The trek features a few recently added dates, including a September 10 concert in Woodinville, Washington, and a September 11 performance in Portland, Oregon. Fans coming out to the shows can expect to hear Joe performing solo material, some Eagles classics and a few tunes from his old group The James Gang.

The 68-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will be backed by a band featuring a number of top musicians, including guitarist Waddy Wachtel and drummers Chad Cromwell and Joe Vitale, the latter of whom used to play with Walsh in the group Barnstorm.

In other news, Walsh recently told the Charleston Gazette-Mail that although the Eagles likely won’t play again following the death this past January of founding singer/guitarist Glenn Frey, some of the surviving members could perform together at some point.

“I guess it’s up to Don [Henley] and me at this point,” he maintained. “He has his solo album and he’s in Europe. I’m here, having a great time. We wanted to put some time in between before we did anything.”

Regarding the possibility of a tour with Henley that would feature performances of their solo material and Eagles songs, he said, “We could do that and make a lot of people happy.”
