Jeff Beck to Get “Loud” in July with New Album

Rick Kern/WireImageMore information has emerged about Jeff Beck‘s new album. Loud Hailer — Beck’s first studio offering since 2010 — arrives on July 15.

The disc features young English vocalist Rosie Bones on nine of its 11 tracks; the other two are instrumentals.  Some of the songs on the album include “Shrine,” “The Revolution Will Be Televised,” “Scared for the Children,” “Edna” and the first single, “Live in the Dark.”

The phrase “loud hailer” means megaphone — and Beck says that’s appropriate for this disc. “I really wanted to make a statement about some of the nasty things I see going on in the world today,” he explains. “And I loved the idea of… using this loud device to shout my point of view.”

As previously reported, Beck will kick off a series of tour dates with fellow guitar god Buddy Guy July 19 in Port Chester, New York.
