ABC/Randy HolmesA new book about Iggy Pop and his proto-punk band The Stooges will arrive just in time for Thanksgiving. Titled Total Chaos: The Story of The Stooges/As Told by Iggy Pop, the book will be released on November 15.
Total Chaos is a compilation of conversations writers Jeff Gold and Johan Kugelberg had with Pop at his Miami home. In these interviews, Pop tells the history of The Stooges in his own words, from the Detroit band’s formation in the late ’60s to their struggles with substance abuse and music business realities to their reformation almost three decades later.
Total Chaos will be published by ex-White Stripes frontman Jack White‘s Third Man Books. The book includes commentary by White, Josh Homme and Joan Jett, among others, plus never-before-seen photos.
Earlier this year, Pop released a new album called Post Pop Depression.
