Credit: Rob ShanahanCongratulations to Ringo Starr, who just became a great-grandfather. Noise11.com reports that the former Beatles drummer’s granddaughter, Tatia Starkey, and her partner, Adam Low, welcomed a baby boy named Stone Zakamo Low Sunday.
Tatia’s dad is Ringo’s oldest son, Zak Starkey, who’s The Who‘s longtime touring drummer and also used to play with Oasis. Starr, who celebrated his 76th birthday on July 7, is the first member of The Beatles to become a great-granddad.
Like her father and grandfather, Tatia is a musician, playing bass in the U.K. band Belakiss.
As previously reported, Ringo will launch a series of fall tour dates with his All Starr Band October 15 in Snoqualmie, Washington. The trek will play several dates in the Western U.S. before heading to Japan and South Korea in late October and early November. The group will then return to the U.S. for several more fall shows.
