Variety reports that the Hollywood Hills home of the late, great Frank Zappa has been purchased by Lady Gaga for $5.25 million. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer lived in the home from the mid-’70s until his death in 1993, and his widow, Gail Zappa, remained there until her death in October 2015. The Zappa children — Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet and Diva — then put the home up for sale.

Zappa, of course, was an innovative and hugely influential songwriter, guitarist, producer, filmmaker and designer. In his 30-year career, he composed rock, jazz and orchestral music, and parodied musical trends like disco, psychedelia and rock operas. His biggest hit on the pop charts was the 1982 novelty tune “Valley Girl,” which reached #32 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Variety reports that the property includes a 6,700-square-foot house with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, as well as two guest houses.  The main house has an art gallery, a full recording studio and “porthole windows and doors salvaged from vintage submarines,” while the grounds include a tennis court, a pool and gardens.

According to Variety, in 2014, Lady Gaga spent $23 million on a Malibu estate with a 10,000-square-foot mansion, six acres and a bowling alley.
