Grand Funk Railroad reissues “Beware!!!” album

Courtesy of Audio FidelityGrand Funk Railroad fans can now enjoy a limited edition reissue of the band’s 1974 album, All the Girls in the World Beware!!!

The disc has been released by Audio Fidelity as a hybrid Super Audio Compact Disc (SACD), compatible with both regular CD players and special SACD models.

Beware!!! was a departure for Mark Farner-led Grand Funk, who were known as a hard-rock outfit, because it incorporated a lot more R&B into the band’s sound. Produced by veteran Jimmy Ienner, who’d worked with Three Dog Night and The Raspberries, the album featured such hits as “Bad Time” and GFR’s cover of the soul classic “Some Kind of Wonderful.”

The album was also notable for its artwork, which took the faces of the band members and superimposed them onto the bodies of famed musclemen Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu.

More information is available via Grand Funk’s official website.
