Gov’t Mule announces new US summer concerts with The Magpie Salute

Credit: Jacob BlickenstaffGov’t Mule, the group led by longtime Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes, has announced a new series of nine U.S. summer tour dates, eight of which will feature Black Crowes spinoff group The Magpie Salute as the opening act.

The new dates kick off August 17 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and run through a September 2 show in Sun Valley, Idaho, with the Sun Valley concert featuring Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real as the support act.

Gov’t Mule also has a variety of previously announced shows on its 2018 tour itinerary, including headlining dates, festival appearances and a series of six “Dark Side of the Mule” concerts that will feature the band playing Pink Floyd material accompanied by a multimedia presentation. The latter events, taking place in various locations in July and August, also will feature The Avett Brothers and The Magpie Salute.

Gov’t Mule continues to promote its 10 studio album, Revolution Come…Revolution Go, which was released in June 2017.
