George Thorogood and the Destroyers have announced details about the fourth annual edition of their “Who Do You Love?” holiday charity social-media campaign, which seeks to raise funds for charitable organizations that are important to the band.
The initiative, which gets underway on Monday, November 11, focuses on one charity each week through the week of December 30. To draw attention to the organizations, Thorogood and his group will promote them via posts on GeorgeThorogood.com and their social media sites.
Since the campaign kicks off on Veterans Day, the first charity being showcased is the Gary Sinise Foundation, which provides support for members of the U.S. military, veterans, first responders and their families.
The other charities selected by Thorogood and the Destroyers for the 2019 “Who Do You Love?” campaign are the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Musically Fed, the T.J. Martell Foundation and Pajama Program. In addition, for the week of December 16, the band is asking fans to support the charity of their choice.
Thorogood and the Destroyers’ next scheduled concert is a January 11, 2020, performance at Fantasy Spring Resort Casino the in Indio, California. The band also will be playing a series of shows in New Zealand and Australia later in January.
