Gimme Lozenges: Rolling Stones Cancel Las Vegas Concert After Jagger Comes Down with Laryngitis

Credit: Kevin MazurBad news for Rolling Stones fans who were planning to see the rock legends’ concert tonight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas: The show has been canceled. A message on the band’s official website reports that singer Mick Jagger has laryngitis and doctors have advised him to rest his voice.

The Rolling Stones haven’t yet announced if or when they’ll reschedule the concert, and ticket holders are encouraged to wait for official information about plans for the show before getting refunds. Fans also are asked to stay tuned concerning the band’s other scheduled show at the T-Mobile Arena, which currently is slated to take place this Saturday, October 22.

Last Saturday, The Rolling Stones gave its second of two performances at the Desert Trip festival in Indio, California. You can check out a short clip of the band playing “Get Off My Cloud” there on the Stones’ official YouTube channel.

The Rolling Stones will release their blues covers album Blue & Lonesome December 2.
