Some unreleased George Harrison recordings may finally see the light of day with the help of the late Beatles guitarist’s son, Dhani. During the recent 10th anniversary celebration of the Cirque du Soleil troupe’s Fab Four-themed Las Vegas production The Beatles LOVE, George’s widow, Olivia Harrison, told Billboard that she and Dhani have discussed him completing some of his dad’s unreleased tracks.
“There are a lot of songs that are unfinished,” Olivia told the magazine. “I think there’s a project there. I just need time to get to it.”
Dhani previously helped finish George’s final studio album Brainwashed, which was released posthumously in November 2002. He co-produced the record — along with George and Jeff Lynne — and also contributed guitar, electric piano and backing vocals.
George Harrison died of cancer in November 2001. He was 58.
