Late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will be laid to rest Friday at a private ceremony in Los Angeles, his attorney told Variety on Sunday.
Cornell will be buried at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. A public memorial may be be held at some future time, but the attorney said that nothing had been decided on that score yet.
Cornell died Wednesday after a Soundgarden show in Detroit. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined that the cause of death was suicide by hanging, but Cornell’s widow has suggested that prescription anti-anxiety medication may have contributed to his death.
